My buddy Aundy, owns a 1980 Land Cruser. He calls it Forrest, because for the first hundred thousand miles were put on it by the Oregon Forrest Service. Needles to say it is an adequate and well worn vehicle.
Having an off road vehicle, or having friends with off road vehicles, is a good idea if you want to do any real exploring.

This weekend after spending way too much on supplies at wall mart we got out of town. We took some stolen pallets on the far side of Utah Lake and made a decent fire, cooked tin foil dinners and crashed. The next day we found the remains of an ore sifting plant that looks something like war torn Berlin after the Allies invaded. The whole compound lies in ruins, twisted steel rebar and chunks of cement lie everywhere. Graffiti gives the daunting landscape a splash of color.

I contemplate the culture shock New York City holds for me

WOW!! Amazing.
You need updates, son.
On an unrelated note... I spent a weekend in jail after being arrested at this place. I also got punched in the head with a gun during the same incident.
Awesome... thanks for bringing back memories.
